Encroaching Towers
Something I failed to notice in the previous screenshot is that there are some things not visible while up in the air. You might have noticed that this shot has a hazy crystal shine effect. Not sure how to describe it, but I imagine its meant to show the shimmering of the crystals in the surrounding area. Surprisingly, with the sunset in the background and the shimmering crystals. This gives the place a lot more color than the previous screenshot that I had taken. I might have to take it back what I said before hand.
30 Days of Posting
Welp here we are. 30 days. Although, I already did something similar last week. I still wanted to make note of this “milestone”. Out of everything that I can say. I think its an accomplishment that I have been able to make it this far without delving into world of procastinating. Sadly, I haven’t worked on some of the project that I wanted to tackle. Especially, the cluster server project with the Rock64s. Heck I even consider on looking into the idea of a “carputer” so that I can have full on server in my car. Although, I haven’t fully flesh out what the purpose of it. Maybe something to a degree of a blackbox where it collects all the data it can on the car for purely statistical fun. I’ll need to explore and research what my options could be. Especially, on the practical side of things.
Domain Migration
I am considering on migrating my domain to a new one. There’s a couple problem with what I have right now. The source of the problem is essentially the .net part of the domain. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to get the .com variant of this domain since someone has bought it recently and was fairly expensive to get before hand. I have another domain that has a .com at the end, but I am unsure if I should use that one. Ultimately, I may have to buy another domain that I’ll be comfortable with using for the foreseeable future. I already know which one I want to get, but haven’t fully decided to take the plunge. My only concern is the technical challenge with changing the domain name of the server.
Currently, its set to blog.solitem.net specifically due to my prior projects using the other subdomains. Now I have no need for the blog subdomain and I can go with a standard www subdomain. My only problem is that I don’t how much this will mess up the server with changing the domain names. Its, probably not that difficult heck lets encrypt might just adapt the ssl keys, once I push for a change on that end. Either way, I have been against changing it, yet at the same time I think it should be changed for the betterment of the website. Plus Solitem is an odd word that many won’t understand in my context. (then again the other domain I am going to be using is in the same boat.) Lastly, the definition I have for Solitem in a story perspective doesn’t make sense for me to use. I won’t go into details what it means; although, I might have a post mentioning it somewhere on this site. Nevertheless, I don’t plan on doing this out of nowhere.
Story Stuff
Alright, I’ve been wanting to work on making a story. This should have been mentioned somewhere along with these posts. To be frank, the whole purpose of these posts is to get me in the habit of “writing” more like typing. The problem is that the story I want to tell or to be more accurate. The worlds I wish to present are going to be massive on scale. Technically greater than astronomical (to a fault). Due to my scale of story-telling. I intend to tell these stories on a per world basis. The only conundrum is which story to explore. Thankfully, I have been working on the grounds of one that will help lay the foundation for these “upcoming” stories. The story I am going to work with is meant to serve as a testing ground and to explore a few narrative ideas possibly.
Now I won’t mention a specific time point for when such a story will appear. One thing that I will say is that I intend to post them here possibly on a per chapter basis. I would like to keep this first story fairly small, but given my incessant desire to tell these stories. It might get out of hand for myself.
Lastly, I’ll mention some inspiration for the story. To be more exact, I am quite fond of isekai’s (person/people traveling to another world) due to their premise and their unfortunate popularity in Japan right now. I suppose its natural for me to gravitate to these stories due to the intent of my story telling (Travelling between worlds is an constant trend of mine). Although, the story that I’m working on may appear as an isekai. Its technically not an isekai by the rules of my story’s foundation.
