You know what would be funny? Forgetting to do the title for today’s post. Whoops. Anyhow its fixed now.
The Nhaama Desert
Imagine walking in the desert and finding a huge wall on the horizon. Excited, you increase your pace towards it till you notice a gap. Upon reaching what is presumably the entrance of this place. You are greeted with a huge bowl with stone like fingers sticking out of the ground as if raising it for the stars. Seriously, whats with the terrain of this zone? I’ve learned a little bit about geography and there’s one thing I can say about this.
How in the world can this feasibly exist!?!
I know I’m placing real world logic into a fantasy world. Although, its still interesting to theorize on how such a thing could happen. Eitherway, its a very peculiar sight. I do genuinely wonder the thought process behind showing the desert. When we can’t even access it.
I have to double check whats on the other side of the Azim Steppe. I can’t seem to remember, but I think it has a huge dropoff towards it. My memory fails me today. Then again, I thought that this place was that of the burn. I might need to double check the geography of the world as well. Clearly, something is wrong with me.
Eitherway, I got less than an hour to make this post and hardly anything is written in it.
AI? Comments?
No and no. Thats the TLDR version of this. To be frank, I’m grasping straws on what to talk about today and I feel like discussing abit about it. I’ve mentioned in the past about comments and I’ve considered on using them various times.
The core reason for me never introducing them is because I felt that it might detract abit from the fact that this is more of a personal blog than anything else. I don’t mind criticsm or suggestions (Hell I’ll talk crap about myself any day of the week). However, after reading some people thoughts about them. I think its best to avoid them due to their spamming nature. Not only that, I really don’t want to moderate the comments either.
The other reason being that this Hugo theme offers disque for comments support. I looked a little bit about their services and it doesn’t look all that appealing. Honestly, I feel like it might become new ad vectors that I would rather avoid. I don’t want ads if at all possible.
Another thing that I taken note of is that of AI articles. I’ve heard anecdotally that people are creating articles via ChatGPT. I don’t know the quality of it nor its effectiveness. What I do know is that I rather avoid using such a tool. As nice as it would be to ease my workflow. My current workflow has already been optimized to a fair amount. Not only that, introducing an AI would simply ruin my posts. These posts don’t really have the best flow with each other nor a set idea. Its more of a personal blog that happens to focus on FFXIV at the moment. There’s very little reason for me to start adding words that aren’t coming from me. It won’t achieve anything for me.
Ordering Mishap
So today after work. I decided to make an order from a resturant. I got there to pick up the order and got home. Upon looking at the reciept. I realized that it wasn’t my order. In fact, it was some doordash order from over an hour ago. The food was literally sitting there on their shelf for over an hour. I didn’t pick it mind you. I told them that I was picking up an order under the name I inputted. They gave me an order that didn’t even resemble my name. The only similarities between the two, was that they both have two syllables. The pronunciation weren’t even the same.
I’m impressed in a way. Atleast the order has fries. Based on the receipt. I don’t think I’ll be able to try the burgers at all.
Regardless, I’m pretty sad at the moment. I was hoping for a double cheeseburger and fries. Instead I got some burgers with caramelized onions and mushrooms. I like neither onions or mushgrooms.
Conclusion
So yeah today was a bit on the short side. I did mention on grasping the straws for today. It was bound to happen, but hopefully there will be more of interest tomorrow. Hope you folks have a good day/night!
