The Inn at Journey’s Head

You know, I feel like this place should be called “The Inn at Journey’s End”. Don’t know where the Head part is coming from.

Moving away from that. Lets talk about the Encyclopaedia Eorzea. I thought it would be funny if I were to have read the entire book in less than a day. Its definetely possible but not exactly reasonable. There was something interesting that I have learned from the book. Its mainly about Crystals.

Now I would imagine that much of the information inside the book exists in the game in some fashion. I’m not entirely aware of all of it. Moving on from that. Apparently, crystals can be formed when a living entity expereinces “death-inducing trauma”. It generally happens when a mortal wound occurs and the aspected-aether corporeally manifests before dispersing into the lifestream. Originally, I thought that all known forms of crystal are created through this method (which is concerning), but upon rereading the text. It appears that the land itself can receive similar “mortal wounds” which is the most prevelant form of crystal that Gatherer’s acquire.

I think its fairly interesting to consider. It could explain the massive crystal-like formations seen around in Stormblood. In fact, this can easily explain the formations over at in Thanalan with Bahamut. Still it makes me wonder how applicable this is to an actual indvidual instead that of the land.

I think this will be all for today’s post. I don’t necessarily plan on scouring the book at the moment. A lot of the info pertains to Eorzea and Ishgard to my knowledge. As such its no very helpful while in Norvrandt.

Anyhow, I hope you folks have a good day/night!
