What did it witness, its demise? On a serious note it appears this place was left fairly ontouch since its on some pillar-like landscape that is only accesible to a broken bridge.
Anyways, I’m fairly tired and want to get some sleep. Before I bring this post to an end lets mention the status of the RMA for the Steam Deck. It would appear that I might not have to pay a dime for the repair/replacement of the device. Atleast based on the email I have received once they confirmed acquiring the device. To be a bit more specific, they stated that the repair “process” will begin shortly and that I will receive confirmation of shipping once its complete.
Considering that they yet to mention anything about charges for the repair its hard to completely tell if I will be paying for it or not. I doubt that they will repair the device and then demand for payment. The only likelihood of what can happen is that during the repair “process” they will source out the issue and determine from there if its within warranty. If its not then they will contact me on if I want to pay for said repairs. If not then they will likely ship it back to me.
The only reason why I feel like that may not be the case is simply because they stated on shipping it back to me once the repairs are done. Its the simplest reason and as such why I don’t think they will charge me. Mind you I don’t really have any issue on paying for the repair, but I would also like to not have to pay at all as well.
In the grand scheme the customer support for Valve ain’t too shabby so far. I just hope nothing bad happens between now and when I recieve my Steam Deck. One last point I should make. I feel like they would make it fairly clear that there would be a cost for the repair of the device early on in the process. I could be wrong though.
