Shadowbringers [5.0]: Post may contain potential spoilers.

The Thirstless Shore

Uh… Don’t really have anything for today’s post. It should be obvious that I’ve mainly been focused on waiting for my vacation to start. Doesn’t really help that I’ve yet to play much of Final Fantasy XIV as of late. This might be the longest period of time where I’m not actively playing the game.

Can’t say I’m burnt from it, but clearly my focus is elsewhere. It doesn’t help that the new Legend of Zelda game comes out tomorrow (or technically today). I didn’t really have any plans on getting the game till I heard the music in the trailers.

There’s this flute type instrument that quite literally captured my interest in the game. Atleast I think its some type of flute. Its so different from anything that I have ever heard that it makes me want to play the game just for the flipping music.

Correction: So… I wanted to figure a bit more out of that peculiar instrument. I should restate that I meant to say wind instrument and not flute instrument. Due to my lack in knowledge of instruments. I kind’ve just went with the first thing in my head.

Anyways I discovered a site called musescore and there was a score that recreated the trailer’s music. From what I read, that odd instrument I mentioned was that of an Alto Saxophone.

At first I didn’t believe it, but listening back to the actual trailer. It does appear to be a Saxophone playing.

To be quite honest, I never heard a saxophone played like that before. Its kind’ve cool to hear something new. Still the entire music from the trailer is still great and quite an intriguing departure from most of the Franchise’s entries.

Now lets get back to what was part of the original post!

I’m half tempted to just find some soundtrack from the game and listen to it. There’s just one issue. I’m not a huge fanatic for music. That’s not entirely accurate so to put in other words. I don’t like listening to music without reason.

I rarely listen to music just for the sake of it. There needs to be something that involves with the music to give me a damn. Also, I don’t like lyrics all that much. It kind’ve irks me the wrong way sometimes.

Uh… Anyways. There’s not much else for me to say, but I hope you folks have a good day/night!
