The Tomb of King Manfred

So… I have no idea as to why this tomb exists. Its in a really odd location to say the least.

There isn’t any clear sign that it was meant to be hidden, but its clear that it hasn’t been maintained. Atleast when it comes to reaching the tomb itself.

Actually, this is the same statue like the ones over in The Peaks. This time however, its not damaged in any significant way. Which makes me wonder on why this was left unscathed.

The only reasoning I can find is that its simply out of place and out of mind. Why would any of the Garleans go this deep inside the crypts for one measley tomb. They can simply prevent anyone entering it and let it crumbling through the passages of time. (Which was working)

Unfortunately for the Garleans, the tomb still stands and whatever this king meant to the people has been spared.

Although, I really do wonder why there’s so many of these statues for King Mangred. Was he the first King or something? I would almost want to say he was a tyrannical king, but I don’t recall any evidence pointing in that direction.

Another nice aspect about this statue is that of the rod. We can actually see what the statue holds. Sadly, I have no idea what it is nor what it symbolizes. So we are going to pretend that it doesn’t exist.

Steamdeck Troubles

Apparently, the left bumper on my Steamdeck is broken. Well not completely. It can still function for as long I press it on a specifc spot on the button. Eitherway, I need to replace that button.

Thankfully, replacement parts are fairly simple to get and guides are well… Ifixit has 23 steps that you need to do inorder to replace the bumper assembly. Not including the reassembly process. For whatever reason. The bumpers seem to be one of the more complicated parts on replacing. Atleast its cheap to get the replacement.

Conclusion

That will be all for today. I haven’t been able to do my 1000+ word count posts as of late. I’m not terribly concerned. I think the main reason is that I go through cycles with FFXIV. For about a month or two I can easily play the game on a nearly daily basis with multiple hours. Other times I can hardly bring myself to even launch the game.

This appears to be the latter right now. Honestly though, I’ve been itching for a break now. I got less than a month till my vacation away from this blog starts. There has been some consideration on making it where I don’t make these posts daily. At the same time though. I like doing them daily, but its also a pain.

It could be that if I were to stop doing these posts daily, then I will stop doing them at all. Although, its hard to say right now.

Anyhow, I hope you folks have a good day/night!
