Castrum Abania Cannon
I kind’ve wished that this cannon wasn’t out of bounds. There’s a reason for it sadly. Main reason being that Castrum Abania is tied to a dungeon. Although, there were no close up shots to my knowledge.
Not that it matters since I have this shot. Honestly, I don’t have a lot to talk about with this shot. Its a cannon and its out of bounds. What more is there to talk about? As such, lets hop back on over to Ala Ghiri.
Ala Ghiri Night
I find this shot to be quite fascinating. To be quite honest, I didn’t really think much of the town. This has changed my mind to a degree. Then again, this gotta be pretty annoying when one is sleeping.
Every single night, you get blasted by the crystal’s light preventing one to adjust their eyes to the dark. Thats quite the nuisance, however I can see it being quite useful when it comes to stopping thieves.
Something that I forgot about for yesterday. Here’s a random screenshot that I made at The Yawn waiting for the vista to be available:
In hindsight, I should’ve sat in front of it, but its still neat. (Although, I do wonder if the image will work at all since I might have a problem with multiple images on a single post)
Red Mage
So this image is going to have an ounce of spoilers for the level 70 job quest.
Personally, I found this image to be quite amazing. Its nothing special, but I just thought that the image of my character and the other in this style to be neat. I think the main reason why its neat is due to the fact that another character is thinking of the Warrior of Light. A flashback of the player’s character. Its never really been done to a huge extent. Atleast not from what I can recall.
I won’t delve too deeply into Red Mage’s Job Quests. Still got a lot to explore with the rest of the game right now. It was something that I wanted to make note of.
Eorguessr
This is something that I been meaning to talk about for some time now. Unfortunately, I keep forgetting to mention it. Anyways, now that we are here lets talk about it.
Eorguessr made by Pamplemouss, is essentially a geo guesser game. For those uninitiated in such a concept. You basically get placed somewhere on google maps and have to guess where it is on the map based on your surroundings. Eorguessr achieves the same idea, but within the world of FFXIV. Currently, they have A Realm Reborn and Heavensward included (in fact they just added Heavensward today).
Personally, I find it to be quite fun. It plays into my screenshot a day idea vaguely. Funnily enough, I was considering on doing a similar idea, but with my screenshots instead of “photospheres”. When I played it the first time (when A Realm Reborn was only available). I managed to get a perfect score (sadly, I didn’t think to take a screenshot of the results). Sadly, with the introduction of Heavensward.
I didn’t get it on my first try (but I did on my second attempt). I could spout all day as to my failures, but all I will say is that I did it on my phone and had just woken up.
Eitherway, the work that Pamplemouss has done is incredible and hopefully they don’t deal with severe server loads when it was first introduced.
Conclusion
Today isn’t really text heavy sadly. Although it appears to be the opposite when it comes to images. Personally, I would like to add more images per post, but want to make certain that it works properly. Not only that, I don’t want to be hunting for multiple images per post.
