The Protector
Hear ye, Hear ye for thee Protector is here! All stand witness to its ever metallic might against the clouds of seas. It shall stand as the one and only form of protection from here and to our great lands down below. Please ignore the fact that it had gone under repairs before. It shall forever glisten in the moonlight sky!
I have no idea what this is suppose to be about, but no matter. I thought it had some humor behind the words. Nothing to laugh at (more like scoff), but is enough to break someone’s monotonous day throughout the perillous lands known as Earth. None may care for my efforts to soothe their minds. All that matters is that it has help some unfortunate fellow out there, beyond my grasp and knowledge.
On a side note lets discuss a bit more about Solarian
Solarian’s World Map
Tada! I present to thee with my glorious map for Solarian! Alright in my defense this is a mostly pre-generated map from Azgaar’s Fantasy Map Generator. I by no means have the talent or desire to devise my own map within a short period of time. I’m a storyteller not a designer. You know this leads me to something a little bit about myself that I thought was somewhat humorous.
Worldbuilding as a Hobby
A while back in high school. Some may know of this, but during the first day in each period of class. We had to tell a little bit about ourselves. Sometimes its to the group we were part of while other times it was to the whole flipping class. The mess that I was, I’ve never really had a good amount to say of myself. It was very generic and I spend till the last moment to write or say something down. However, around that time I was also conjuring what I would call the first foundation of my storytelling. For every story I make. I always add a world along with that same story. I won’t deny, but a lot of the times the world has a very basic premise since I built the world around the story and not the otherway around. If I invest deeply into a particular story, so does the world as well.
I was never fond of needlessly adding stuff to a world when I have no purpose of it. Its the same with how I tell my stories. I always find a reason or logic behind my actions. As a result of this, I started to shape a “Container of Worlds” that all follow the same logic and expanded the further I delve into my stories and worlds. For every new story or world, I created a gimmick/idea for it, in order to give it purpose. While I created a vast quantity of shallow worlds and stories. I inturn created a rather rich container that housed these Worlds and stories. At some point I decided to give that container a name. Zandarium.
Due to the increasing growth of the Zandarium and the ever-growing connections between stories and worlds. It became sort’ve a “Memory Palace” for myself. The worlds are so inter-connected that simply starting my path on one world can lead me to many more all connceted in some form or another. Its frightening sometimes on what I can still remember or what I recall because of this vast network of worlds. Each world possessed a specifc idea or a specific character. I’ve have been very fond of what I have created.
The whole reason as to why I spoken about this is because when it came to times in which people or a teacher would require us to tell one thing about us. I tended to state that one of my hobbies was worldbuilding. The unfortunate part about this is that some people judge me in some ways for saying that. It was never a hateful judgement, but more of a “thats weird” and laugh at it.
Sadly, I would like to say more, but I am reaching the appointed deadline for this post. Last thing that I will say is that I have always enjoyed making stories and worlds even if no one will ever see them in full fruition. The only thing I hope for Solarian is that when the players start to get involved in its story. That I will get spectactular ideas to expand the world even further.
Anyhow, hope you folks have a good day/night.
