Dazzling Stars
Welcome, welcome. A new day, a new screenshot. I mentioned previously that a more interesting spot existed in Lavender Beds. This is the spot that I had mentioned. Right behind the camera is a “small” waterfall that gives quite a bit of ambiance in the area. Its definitely a wondorus spot to visit especially at night like shown. Either way, I do have one more spot to show in Lavender Beds that I think may be of interest. It will involve in a lot more water than this screenshot shows.
A slight problem with these screenshots
I am going to mention a few things that I had not considered last night. The main problem is spoilers. Final Fantasy XIV while an Massive Multiplayer Online game. It caters heavily into the storytelling aspect like the other Final Fantasy games. Because of this, I am bound to show things that will be considered a spoiler. Now I don’t think a screenshot without context will be a massive spoiler in most cases, yet I may want to talk about things related to the image. As such, I plan on introducing a line before the image telling reader what expansion this image is from and a warning that it may contain spoilers in it. Here’s an example:

This should be seen by the reader before they click on the post and the first thing in the post itself. Although, the Image may catch attention of the reader before reading the text. I may consider hiding the image as a “spoiler” to prevent an incident of someone being spoiled, but could also harm the overall viewing experience. For now, a simple line of text before the image should prove viable. I plan on adding a tag or two as well to inform the reader.
Although, I say reader in the grand scheme. I am not really planning on spreading this out to the world for all to see. The most I intend to do is spread via word of mouth. Also, I don’t intend to make a great deal of interaction with the reader and author. All I will do is post the screenshot and call it a day. However, here’s one thing that could happen. Upon reaching 90 days, I may make a reddit post or something to ffxiv subreddit and or a few more others. That way I may have a degree of encouragement knowing there are those viewing my screenshots.
One last thing I wish to mention is the use of third party tools. What I mean is using software to alter the original screenshot outside of the tools provided in FFXIV, Gshade as an example. To be blunt, I have no desire on using such tools. I kind of want to showcase the game on how it can be perceived by the average player. Using Third Party tools to alter the game’s appearance defeats some purpose as to why I am doing this. Lastly, in my opinion the visuals of the game is quite impressive. You can capture some spectacular moments in this game utilizing Gpose.
