Stormblood [4.0]: Post may contain potential spoilers.

The Yawn

This area is quite similar to my state of mind today. Then again this whole week has been rather taxing for me mentally. This week was by no means bad, but just a lot of things sort’ve happened and my days off weren’t really days off. Also, In regards to the video for Ishgard and Idyllshire. I decided to split the two because I didn’t realize the size of Ishgard was insane. I didn’t even include all of the named areas (partly because they were at most a door to an inaccessible place) If I did every named area, it would’ve been just as long as my previous videos. Its a bit insane. Here I thought that this video was going to be a cake walk in terms of time commitment. Because of its sheer size. I decided to split the two areas and will do Idyllshire as the last zone for Heavensward before moving onto Stormblood.

Lastly, I probably won’t be uploading this week’s video on Saturday this time around. It will more than likely be on Sunday. The main reason being that I don’t really want to spend the rest of my night working. Since I didn’t get a day off yesterday due to a bunch of travelling. I want to relax a bit before hopping into bed. I also want to play on my Steam Deck for a bit. Although, I’m a bit conflicted playing FFXIV at the moment. The main reason being the fact that I want to work more on leveling my crafters, but at the same time I want to do a few other things like leveling Blue Mage. I’m pretty close to leveling all of my crafters to level 80. Once they all hit level 80 I will probably market off the majority of my gathered materials from Diadem. Mainly because I wouldn’t have much reason to use them outside of grinding Firmament in general. Anyhow, lets get moving onto the “story” of the day. As per usual, I’m going to pulling the vast majority out of thin air since I spent a miniscule amount of outlining the story. All I remember was watching a video from Cinemawins mentioning about Black Panther and the fusion of Wakanda’s tradition and technological advancement. I decided to do a story about a society of people stuck to tradition and unwilling to change even if it dooms themselves. Kind’ve similar to one of the first stories I posted here. Eitherway, thats literally all I thought about for today’s story. So lets see where it will go from there.

Tradition (7 Minutes)

For ages a society of a proud nation triumph all around it. None could withstand the might of their own culture and practices. However, like any foundation. None can last if it doesn’t find ways to change. Just like this proud nation. Due to their achievements, their judgements were clouded and they began to focus more on their traditions than what was necessary to ensure its own future. Generation by generation. The society became beligerent of those whom attempt to encourage other methods that didn’t follow tradition. Eventually, those set to their ways even created inquisitions to prevent the growth of new ideas and opportunities. This resulted a mass exodus of people whom had the capability to ensure the nation’s future. As such the generations continue to go by and the nation’s foundation began to crumbled underneath themseleves. By the time that those stuck to tradition realized of thier inevitable fate even fled their own nation for greener pastures. Leaving all others who had hope for the nation to extinguish along with it.

End

Everyday, I still dread doing this story. Probably because it doesn’t feel like a story to me. Then again its fairly challenging to make a story out of thin air within 10 minutes. Especially, when you try to not make it seem like a kids’ book. Regardles,, I hop you all have a good day/night.
