[2.0] A Realm Reborn: Post may contain potential spoilers.

Vigilance

A 100 days have past and this place already looks like a dump. Oh wait this is the first time I’ve been here. Kind’ve odd for it to be in ruins. My presence may have instilled fear in those living here. Heck they even went in so far and toppling their own tower down into the abyss below. Joking aside. Today will mark the 100th day mark for Screenshot a Day.

Overall, its been swell of an journey. Then again, I haven’t done too much with the formula of mine. At the very least I was able to insure that I have added text to each and every single screenshot I have posted here. That was a minor goal of mine. The main goal was quite simply to post a screenshot everyday. Throughout these 100 days I have only screwed up once. I accidently, overslept one day and missed the deadline by like 1 hour. A failure indeed, but ultimately. I’m not really that concerned about it. Failing once a fortnight wouldn’t bother me to any extreme amount. Then again, I am confident that even a mistake as crucial like that one wouldn’t upend my entire website down onto its knees. I gotta do a lot more than being late for a post. Lastly, I doubt folks are looking into this series of posts all that much.

I have done very little in terms of advertising or spreading the existence of my humble blog. There’s no real reason to show the whole. I am perfectly fine knowing that only a few handful of people know of its existence even if they never look at it. In some ways this blog helps ground myself into reality (or the exact opposite. Haven’t really figured that part out yet.). I doubt that this blog would become a runaway success or something along those lines. Quite simply the fact that its a very niche type of blog that focuses not only on MMOs, but specifically Final Fantasy XIV Online at the moment. I intend to spread my wings to another game called Ashes of Creations, but I have in general consider taking shots of other games. Another thought I had was starting the works of a simple little game of mine.

Now I haven’t solidified any ideas of mine, but I do intend to start the works of a game at least a simple one just to get a feel for a workflow. The only main problem with this is that I am more of a story writer than a programmer, artist, musician and slew of other incredibly important fields for game development. Sadly, I haven’t really shown much of my own works on this blog (mainly because they are decrepit). Although, I do intend sometime down the line to try and experiment some new workflows to get me back into the groove of things.

In fact, this blog series is meant as a method to get myself back into portraying stories. I have a very simple outlook that any form of medium can be used as method to tell a story. Well we are creatures with a passion on passing things on the younger folks. I wonder if passion and passing have any coincidences. Nevertheless, I want to tell some fairly crazy stories, but could never get my foot through door for sometime now. I easily have two very decently fleshed out stories that I want to tell. Eventually, folks will be able to experience some bizarre stories.

Now I am reaching the end of this blog post for the day. I do have one oddball thing to throw at you before I make my departure. As I may have mentioned in the previous post. I finally gotten a brand new phone in years. Its the Pixel 7 to be exact. I won’t deny that one of the sole reasons for me wanting to get the phone was the live transcribe feature it has. While Speech to Text has been around for quite sometime, but its 50-50 on how well it performs. I’ve been conflicted on how I intend to use it. Ideally, I would love an open-source solution that I could even take with me, but the software that currently exists isn’t all there yet. Plus even companies like Google haven’t even fleshed out the Speech to Text yet.

Regardles, I wanted to throw a little transcript of an audio recording I made earlier today as a bit of a demonstration of its usefulness. Mind you, I have done zero and I mean zero proofreading or editing of the transcript. What you see is about how effective the Pixel 7 Tensor G2 chip is able to perform in near real-time.

Now this is the start of the transcript:

Steel vigil. An interesting little place completely in ruins, and it’s honestly kind of unfortunate that it must be in such a condition.

It appears to be some kind of massive tower at one point based off of some of the structures it has and hardly enough. There was even the peers to be like a bridge connecting to it. Which um,

Appear to be on its own completely separate platform from looks of links.

Honestly, it’s kind of interesting how designed and actually makes me wonder if it has any relations to us. Similar structure out in the age of venian, Hinterlands. I believe it was called. Oh, i am probably find that out later. Not now though, since i’m stats technically out in the rooms of heaven’s word

But nevertheless, it’s an interesting little place.

And it also makes me wonder what was meant here. It was called stones, sorry steel, vigil.

And i don’t know exactly the full history of this place rather than declared to be some kind of plate structure of sorts. I really, honestly can’t think of what it could have been used for. It’s not like the hammers and hammelia, they actually told you more or less. What it was this time.

It tells you basically nothing.

Oh, i just oh, speak at the devil. I literally, as i’m just flying around around the place, i literally found one of the other dragon, ddcia symbols, right next to

No, it doesn’t, it doesn’t get any easier.

Huh. Now, this is something. I was not expecting. So yeah, i i finally found the location of those who would know. But no and they didn’t actually think it’ll be right here. I was expecting you to be somewhere else but i suppose it makes sense and yeah that’s interesting.

Hmm. Peculiar to say the least.

Well, i’ll definitely well, i finally found where i’ve been looking for ready for one of them. I, i believe i know the location of another item. So i think honestly, that’s almost half. I think honestly it could be wrong of them because i had found one to three that will be for maybe maybe just only found a third of them.

No matter still kind of makes me wonder what steel vigil used to be?

Now this is the end of the transcript…

As you can clearly tell. It has some kinks (like seriously it doesn’t even capitalize the letter i when its by itself. What kind of Blasphemey is this?). Then again it also has managed to transcribe about 80-90% of what I have said accurately. I find this not as a solution, but as a fascinating tool to use. Obviously, if I intend to use this more in the future I would need to proofread it. It can prove as a beneficial tool when I am out in about and not at a computer able to type what I am thinking. While I’m not the fastest typer in the world. Currently, it proves easier to type what I want that it is for me to say what I want and proofread the transcript of what I have said. As such I see this more as a tool and not a solution. Plus I feel like it would be harder for me to communicate outloud on what I want to say instead of having to type it. This is likely due to the fact that I have spent years typing in what I want instead of saying it outloud all that much.

Either way, I think this would be an interesting assest that I can’t way to see how it evolves over the upcoming updates the Google has.

Welp, looks like that this is truly the end of today blog post. I would like to say that this is the largest post I have done so far in history, but I have no idea on what my word count is at right now. Then again, I feel like I shouldn’t spend too much time worrying about read time especially when there’s very few eyes looking at this blog.

Hope you folks have a good time and stay vigilant!
